NICK REYNOLDS AT OCCULTURE FESTIVAL

Occulture Festival 2009

On May 23rd Alabama 3 Acoustic and Unplugged* harmonica player Nick Reynolds and artists from The Treatment Rooms will be appearing at the Occulture Festival 2009, talking about their work with prisoners on America's death row.

'Nick Reynolds with the world-famous Treatment Rooms, bring their own extraordinary brand of esoteric outsider art to Occulture’s 2009 event. The exhibition will feature actual death masks moulded from prisoners executed on death row. Nick and his team travel to the US to perform this last service to those killed by the state, many of whom go to their deaths protesting their innocence.

This year will also see the screening of some passionate, haunting documentary footage, charting the story of one such prisoner, John Joe Amador and the making of his death mask with full permission and blessing after his execution in Texas.'
