LIVERPOOL DISCOVERS NICK REYNOLDS

As well as preparing for Alabama 3 Acoustic and Unplugged to go on the road with their forthcoming album, Nick Reynolds (aka Harpo Strangelove) has been in his London studio preparing to make a plaster head – not of a murderer or drugs baron this time but of Mary Bamber, suffragette and mother to Liverpool's Bessie Braddock.

Nick is working on the piece with Carrie Reichardt, a baroness, activist and ceramicist, who first worked with Reynolds on Amador’s death mask in 2007.

The sculpture will sit outside St George’s Hall as part of the Liverpool Discovers art trail that launches next week.
