A NEW DECADE WITH ALABAMA 3!

START  THE DECADE WITH ALABAMA 3!

After one of their most exciting year's ever,  Alabama 3 are ending the year doing what they do best - throwing a non-stop mutha of a party!

2009 was an amazing year for Alabama 3 and their fans.

We saw the completion of the 12 Step downloads; we saw the release of the resulting album, The 12 Step Plan, while the band completed work on another new album, Revolver Soul, which will hit the streets in spring 2010; we enjoyed a little taster of what is to come with the release of the new single Jacqueline last month; and the band played an exhausting but exhilarating 18 date non-stop tour of the UK and Ireland!

As if that was not enough, Alabama 3 are ending the year in explosive style with an incredible New Year's Eve Party at Brixton's Jamm.

The line up is enough to knock the socks off any Alabama 3 fan - or indeed, anyone who likes to party!

The doors open at 8pm, and we start the evening in the live room with Sierra Maestra playing their soulful electronic funk followed by 11 piece ska/funk band from South London, The Skanks.

At 11pm Alabama 3 Acoustic, playing sweet delta blues in their own inimitable style, will hit the stage - that's Larry Love and Aurora Dawn on vocals, Rock-Rock-Rock Freebase on guitar, and Harpo Strangelove blowing on his harp.  That's some way to see in the New Year!

Following them we are delighted to welcome the legendary Sheep on Drugs to Jamm for the first time - who will be 'blending a mixture of sleazy rock, hard techno and punk nihilism into their own peculiar cabaret act of a rock'n'roll band.'

And then, at around about 1.30am, Alabama 3 will be playing live!
That's right - the full band, playing live!
There are very few opportunities to see a band of this callibre (and size!) in such an intimate setting as Brixton's Jamm, and we know they will have the crowd going wild and dancing their socks off throughout their set!

And there's still more...

Throughout the night Alabama 3 will be providing DJs to keep the party going.

Anyone who saw the band play on the November tour can tell you about The Mountain of Love's legendary DJ sets.
In addition The Spirit of Love, Sir Eddie Real, Stevie Nicked and our wonderful drummer (responsible for so many of the band's remix material) L B Dope will be taking turns on the decks.

Oh, and the bar sells drinks at pub prices; and the night goes on until 6 in the morning...

All this for an incredible £15 - which is why we strongly advise all true Alabama 3 fans to book their tickets right now, because they are selling like hot cakes!
