LARRY LOVE AND THE GHOSTFLIGHTERS (AKA BRENDAN AND LARRY)

Back in 2006 Larry Love took a little time out from Alabama 3 to make a beautiful jazz-infused blues and country-folk crossover album with songwriter/musician, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Brendan O'Connell and keyboard player and co-writer Clifford Slapper called ROBERT LOVE’S ‘GHOST FLIGHT'.

Uncut magazine said that the album confirmed 'his abilities as one of Britain finest singer-songwriters'.

Now at long last Larry has been back in the studio with Brendan.

The two of them have been writing and producing brand new material which Larry describes as 'rebel resistance songs meets Merle Haggard'.

Way back in the beginning Alabama 3 started off playing in a Brixton pub called Brady's, and for Larry and Brendan these new songs hark back to those days - mixing Irish rebel and Jamaican culture, in the way that Brixton does best.

Some interesting and varied guests have been joining them in the recording studio - 'a bunch of militant sisters' says Larry, including the legendary Buffy St Marie, Rumer, and Liza J, among others.

DEBUT PERFORMANCE

What better night to preview the new material than St Patrick's night in Brixton?  At Brixton Jamm on Sunday March 17th you can hear these new songs mixed with hits from the previous solo album 'Ghostflight', all interspersed with traditional Irish rebel songs.

Brendan and Larry will be joined on stage by very special guest Tenor Fly, plus Owen If (Stereo MCs) on drums, Doc on bass, and Chad on rockabilly guitar.

WE'LL BE BACK SOON TO TELL YOU MORE ABOUT BRENDAN AND LARRY AND THE GHOSTFLIGHTERS - WITH A SPECIAL PREVIEW OF THE NEW MATERIAL FOR YOU TO ENJOY…
