WE DREAMED AMERICA
WE DREAMED AMERICA
While Alabama 3 Acoustic and Unplugged were making their critically
acclaimed appearance at SXSW music festival in Austen Texas last March,
other British artists were making their American debuts too.
Film maker Alex Walker's 'We dreamed America' (a 'twisted tale of
British roots and American music') examines the career of some of those
artists who, like Alabama 3, acknowledge their debt to American country
music.
The movie was made the official selection at SXSW, and went on to
play many other film festivals this year. It features footage and
interviews with Alabama 3, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, Hey Negrita and
others.
Clash magazine call it 'A must-see' and BBC Radio 1's Rob Da Bank has called it 'Brilliant!'

It has now been released for general sale on DVD, including an
additional 10-minute mini documentary on what happened when the bands
and the movie went to SXSW in March.
It is available to buy from Amazon, HMV and other retailers.
