RETURN OF THE DEATH MASK?

Channel 4 evening news on Tues October 2nd had an extended interview with Nick Reynolds (aka Harpo Strangelove, the harmonica player with Alabama 3 Acoustic).  As well as discussing Nick's art and his background, it featured several clips of Alabama 3.

The following is from Channel 4 website:

Stephanie West meets sculptor and Alabama 3 musician Nick Reynolds as he works on reviving the lost art of the death mask.

From Tutankhamun to Napoleon... it used to be the custom that royalty and rulers had their faces immortalised with a death mask.
The British sculptor Nick Reynolds is now working on reviving that tradition, but his subjects are informed by his very unusual pedigree.

Who are Alabama 3?
Alabama 3 is a British acid house, blues, country and gospel music band founded in Brixton, London, in 1989.
In the United States, they are known as A3 to avoid a legal conflict with the well-established country music band Alabama.
They achieved international fame when the producers of hit TV show The Sopranos chose their track "Woke Up This Morning" for the show's opening credits.

About the artist
He is both the son of the great train robber Bruce Reynolds and he plays harmonica with The Alabama 3, whose music features in the TV drama The Sopranos.
They also have a following with death row prisoners in Texas.
