ALABAMA 3 PORTRAITS BY FINOLA MCFADDEN
A FEW WORDS FROM LARRY LOVE ABOUT THE ART OF THEFT TOUR
With the blistering success of Shoplifting 4 Jesus and to celebrate it being rereleased with bonus tracks on 180g double vinyl, Alabama 3 have maintained their long-term commitment to all things alternative and underground. Not only have we stolen off most major artists, but also through setting up our own label - Hostage Music - we have encouraged other artists to steal off us. The Art of Theft Tour is a declaration of intent.
Consequently we will be debuting a variety of artists from our increasingly bizarre roster of talent. It is up to you, brothers and sisters, to judge the veracity of their contribution, but we encourage each and every one of you to bootleg, film and otherwise illegally document these proceedings. We will be recording every gig on this tour with a view to then collating individual photographic or filmic experiences, thereby creating live videos directed by 14,000 people.
In league with modern technological trends, we will be providing for the 1st time such joyous appliances as USB sticks, interactive t-shirts, and antibiotics for Chlamydia.
The song remains the same, the venues might be different but keep your swag bags open and we'll see what we can purloin together. Please avail yourself of the upcoming Summer In The City EP (coming soon) and we'll keep you posted about any developments we can drag (kicking and screaming) from the hellhole that is Hostage.
These will include: Kara Gordon and the Wreckage, Daughters of God, Science vs. Magic, IDK Sound system, Howling Filf and the Rent boys and The Vex - all pioneers of deep, dark and decadent DIY motherfucking spit in your face swagger.
So come on - paint your wagons and burn your banker, coz the twisted circus is coming to town and there ain't no safety net under the high wire.
